The Yankee Bean : Tarpon Springs

                                                           ^^THE YANKEE BEAN^^
The Yankee Bean is a Family owned restaurant on 901 South Pinellas Ave. Tarpon Springs. A Greek/Italian family opened their little restaurant doors in October of 2006, the decore has a home feel to it. To the pictres on the wall , to the wood chairs and tables, chalk board with the menus on it, and to a very welcoming feel when you first come in to the time you leave. They treat you like family.  You like soups salads and sandwiches? Well if so this is the place to go! They use all fresh market products and seasonal flavores. They also make homemade pickles and potato salad to go with the sandwiches! The price is also good. For a salads its 7 to $8.50, soups are $3.50 for a cup, $5.00 and a quart for $10.00. Wraps for $6 to 7. I (Colleen) went there with one of my culinary friends right after school. I had the italian cuban. It has Ham, salami, hot cappicola, provolone cheese, mustard, mayo, pickles & shallot vinaigrette pressed on Cuban bread. My opinion I think this Italian cuban was delish! I felt it was a good place to go if your in the mood for some homemade meals. (:

Nicks Pizza: Tarpon Springs

A family owned restaurant on Gulf Rd in Tarpon Springs. It's a well known restaurants in Tarpon. Tarpon High, is on the same road as them, so they use them for classroom party's, after school events, & sport banquets, or just family dinners. When you walk into the restaurant it is a feel of Tarpon culture. On the walls they have maps of Tarpon and pictures of the Tarpon High sport teams. Nick's specialty is pizza and seafood. Their pizza has many different toppings, all fresh and delightful. Nick's seafood is fresh and flavored to perfection. On my adventure to Nick's, i got the Chicken Parmesan Spaghetti. it was a pretty decent portion size of chicken with cheese melted on top. The spaghetti was lathered in homemade meat sauce, hot, and just a kick of spice. So, overall, my trip to Nick's was pretty good, if i do say so myself.

Muzzies For Lunch

So for lunch yesterday, I (Carley) went to Muzzies located 700 S Pinellas Ave, in Tarpon Springs. It had  wide variety of ice cream and sandwiches. I chose the Grilled Chicken Cha Cha. It has a amazing toppings of grilled chicken breast with bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, garlic mayo on grilled homemade bread. It was probably the biggest sandwich i have EVER had (it fed four people). The bread from Muzzies is made fresh daily. There are so many breads to choose from! Muzzies is a family owned restaruant and has the nicest people working there. It's good for all ages. Muzzies has a "Famous People Throgh Time" theme. Many posters and autographs fill every inch of the walls from the cealing to the floor. They play Christain music and it gives the place a very up beat and warm vibe. So overall, i had an absoutely amazing lunch. what more could I ask for? Great food, good music, happy people.
